Principal & Owner
Before starting her own firm in San Francisco, Margaret Ash honed her skills and curated her unique style by designing for some of the most influential interior designers and architects known to date: Kelly Wearstler, Amanda Nisbet, Elizabeth Bauer, Kendall Wilkinson, and Meyer Davis Studio. Her projects have been featured in various publications including Architectural Digest, Wall Street Journal, Sotheby's Home and many others.
Chelsi grew up in Toronto, Canada and studied at Ryerson University's School of Interior Design. Upon finishing her schooling, she moved to London where she worked as a color consultant for Farrow & Ball. In 2012 Chelsi moved to San Francisco, where she has had the opportunity to work for some of San Francisco's top interior design firms. Chelsi feels fortunate to be able to create spaces for people that serve as a framework for rich experiences. She believes that the most important aspect of design is to constantly edit and never over-design.
Retail & Brand Director
Having worked in both LA and NYC Erin brings extensive experience in marketing strategy and partnerships to the MAD team. She has a passion and dedication for establishing and maintaining a brand's voice and developing multi-channel marketing that grows brand awareness and consumer involvement. Whether it be managing our e-commerce, social media or marketing initiatives she ensures our MAD communication is clear and consistent.
Chief Financial Officer
Sarah Oldaker joins the Margaret Ash team as an Atlanta native, studying Interior Design at The University of Georgia. She has built a foundation working for various high-end designers on the East Coast. She believes in the capability of beautiful spaces and is fueled by the joy they bring to the heart. This joy is central to Sarah's approach when working with clients and creating their ideal homes.
Jonathan Ash has thirteen years of infrastructure investment banking experience and serves in the capacity of Chief Financial Officer for MAD. Jonathan’s role is anchored by his abilities to provide technical and quantitative analyses and his charge is to ensure the continuation of efficient business operations as well as the development of strategic opportunities.
Originally a Texas native, former New York-based designer, Jennifer Jones, excels in the art of combining fresh and inventive design with the realities of function. After graduating from Washington and Lee University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Jennifer moved to Vail, CO where she began her career in interior design. Relocating to Nashville, TN in 1999, she divided her time designing both residential and commercial retail spaces; including a country club in Oklahoma and multiple retail stores. Jennifer excels in construction and project management along with the decorative aspects. When not working, she enjoys cooking, world travel, and distance running.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sebastian acquired his B.A. in Business with a concentration in classical painting from the University of Dallas. He is also in the process of furthering his education through the Interior Design and Architecture Program at UC Berkeley. Utilizing his aesthetic savvy has enabled Sebastian to build his portfolio for Interior Design and catch the eye of notable designers in the Bay Area. As a part of the Margaret Ash Design team, Sebastian directs his efforts towards the support of the design process and the creation of beautiful spaces.
Jessica joins the Margaret Ash Design team as a graduate from Savannah College of Art and Design, where she studied Interior Design, Fibers, and Architectural History in Savannah, Georgia and Lacoste, France. She thoroughly enjoys each of these subjects and the way in which they harmonize together. Jessica has previous experience in boutique hospitality design from Studio Collective in Los Angeles, where she learned the importance of creating unique spatial experiences for clients. She believes the ultimate goal of all projects is to create functional and beautiful spaces.
